Anglo American Scholarship Programs
The AngloAmerican Scholarship Programs provide funding for tuition fees, a private accommodation allowance or accommodation costs (a university residence with a self-catering allowance or a university residence including meals), a computer/laptop allowance, a personal allowance, a textbook allowance, and the company medical aid scheme.
Note: You do not have to work for Platinum to pay back this scholarship. Preference is given to learners in Platinum Host Communities. For the latter, applicants are required to provide proof of residence to verify their locality.

Scholarship Requirements
- If you are a Grade 12 learner, you must submit your Grade 11 results, stamped by your school, and provisional acceptance at a tertiary institution.
- If you are already a tertiary student, you must submit your previous year’s results, stamped by the university, and pass all subjects you registered for in this academic year.
- Live in one of Platinum’s host communities. You will need to submit a stamped or verified proof of residence from your traditional council or municipal councilor.
Required Documents
To support your application, you must provide the following documents
- Your certified ID document.
- Your Grade 11 year-end results, stamped by your school or,
- If you have completed Grade 12, a certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate.
- If you are already at an institution of higher learning, your latest certified transcripts, and the previous year’s results; and
- A CV with all the relevant information.
- Stamped proof of residence from your local traditional administration or local municipality.
