AngloAmerican Learnership: Electrical

AngloAmerican has an exciting chance for you to join our incredible team at Sishen Mine in a three-year Artisan Learnership enrichment program.

This program will allow you to maximize your potential while also providing you with a personalized plan to give you a future where you can make a difference. They will assist you in discovering your true capability and developing your abilities as an Artisan as you move through your Artisan Learnership program.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory, and Industrial Electronics as subjects.

Engineering Learnership

Successful candidates can enroll in an external Unemployed (18.2 B1) Learnerships program that will lead to the desired qualification as a qualified Artisan.

• Learnership Fitter x 4
• Learnership Electrician x 5
• Learnership Boilermaker Plater x 4
• Learnership Measurement Control & Instrumentation Mechanician x 5
• Learnership Millwright x 2
• Learnership Rigger x 2

Requirements:

General requirements

1. Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English (all with a minimum 40% pass), or
2. N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline Requirements or
3. NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass

Trade Test Requirements

1. A minimum of N2 Subjects/ certificate with applicable subjects for the relevant trade as specified
2. Mathematics
3. Engineering Science
4. Relevant Trade Theory
5. Industrial Electronics, Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings
6. NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass

Admin Learnership

This twenty-four-month Admin Experiential Learnership Programme is an enrichment program that will allow you to build skills through on-the-job training in the mining community and gain enough admin experience to apply for your National Diploma. They will assist you in discovering your true capability and developing your abilities as a Management Assistant as you advance through your Admin Learnership program.

Requirements:

1. Management Assistant N6 qualification with passed subjects in Communication, Information Processing, Office Practice, and Computer Practice.
2. You will be required to pass an aptitude test.
3. The Admin Learnership will only commence after being successfully interviewed and a Fitness Certificate obtained.
4. Attach a residential confirmation letter from the local Municipality.

Millwright Learnership

Trainee TMM Learnership

De Beers, Venetia Mine, is offering an Underground Trackless Mobile Machinery Development Opportunity and invites unemployed Youth from the labor-sending area to apply.

Requirements:

1. Applicants must reside in the labor-sending area of Blouberg or Musina Municipalities and must be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa
2. Grade 12 Certificate
3. Valid National Driver’s License
4. Pass the Dover assessment
5. Pass the Heat Tolerance Test  

Fitter Learnership

Mining Learnership

This 18-month Mining Learnership Programme is an enrichment program for the community on Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and will allow you to build skills in surface mining through classroom and on-the-job training. They will assist you in discovering your true capability and developing your abilities as a prospective Drilling or Blasting Assistant and/or various Trackless Mobile Equipment as you go through your mining learnership course.

Requirements

1.  A full Grade 12 / Technical N3 with Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics. Physical Science in Grade 12 will be advantageous.
2. A valid South African Driver’s License.
3. Successfully pass medical-job-fit assessments (RFA)
4. Ability to obtain, or be in possession of a valid Sishen VTS / DOVER)
5. Attach a residential confirmation letter from the local Municipality indicating that you reside within the JTG District.
