Rover College Scholarship Application Guide

Win up to $2,500 in scholarships via the Rover College Scholarship. All you need to do is write about how living with a pet has impacted your life.

Below is an overview of the scholarship program.

What is the Rover Scholarship?

Each year, a $2,500 Rover Scholarship will be given to the high school senior or college student who writes the most insightful essay about how a pet has made them who they are today. We strongly suggest that you apply for this amazing chance if you love your pet and want to put that love on paper.

Who is Eligible for the Rover College Scholarship?

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Rover College Scholarship:

  • You must be a resident of the United States.
  • You must be a high school senior who is about to graduate or a college freshman, sophomore, or junior who is pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.
  • Your GPA must be 3.0 or higher if you are a high school senior who is graduating.
  • Your GPA in college must be 3.0 or higher. Graduate students are required to have a 3.0 GPA or higher or a “Pass” on a Pass/Fail grading scale.
  • You cannot be related to any Rover employees, however, you may be related to a Rover dog walker or pet sitter.

What Documents Do I Need to Provide?

  • You must fill out and submit your application form.
  • Submit a 400 – 500 word essay on the topic:
    • How did growing up with a pet in your life (could be a friend’s or family member’s) impact the person you are today?”

When is the Scholarship Deadline?

Applications for the Rover Scholarship close on May 1. 

Note: You must endeavor to apply before the closing date. There will be no extensions after the closing date.
