Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Programs
TMCF All-Round Scholarship
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is pleased to provide financial aid to deserving students enrolled in one of its member institutions, which includes 47 publicly-funded historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and institutions with a predominance of black students (PBIs).
How Much is the All-Round Scholarship?
The scholarship award is $10,000 for two students.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, you must meet all the requirements provided below:
- Applicants must be a citizen of the United States or have a valid permanent resident card or passport with an I-551 stamp.
- Be a full-time student in the following academic years at a TMCF member school: freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
- Students who attend the following institutions will be given preference: Albany State, Savannah State, or Fort Valley
- Score 3.0 or higher on the most recent cumulative GPA.
- Must be capable of proving a financial need.
- Your chosen university or college received the next academic year’s FAFSA.

Applications for the scholarship open on September 6 and closes on August 31.
TMCF | McDonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship
McDonald’s and The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) are pleased to provide financial aid to deserving students enrolled at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
How Much is the Black and Positively Golden Scholarship?
For the academic year, sixty-three (63) students will receive a scholarship award of up to $15,000 ($7,500 per semester), which will cover for costs of average tuition and other compulsory fees.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the McDonald’s and Thurgood Marshall College Fund, you must meet all the requirements provided below:
- Applicants must be a citizen of the United States or have a valid permanent resident card or passport with an I-551 stamp.
- Be a full-time student in the following academic year at HCBU: freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
- Score 2.7 or higher on the most recent cumulative GPA.
- Must be capable of proving a financial need.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
