What is the Remarkable Futures Scholarship?

Throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico each year, Chick-fil-A offers restaurant team members the chance to apply for college scholarships through its Remarkable Futures Scholarships program. Since 1973, they have been able to provide more than 80,000 Team Members with more than $136 million in scholarships to help them further their education and build a fantastic future, whether it is with Chick-fil-A or somewhere else.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

The scholarship award covers:

1. Tuition fees and other compulsory fees
2. Educational-related expenses e.g books, computers, etc.

Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship Programs

Chick-fil-A offers two scholarship programs to interested applicants. Both full-time and part-time students may apply for the scholarships, which may be used at any accredited college, university, or technical/vocational institution. Above all, every scholarship payment is made upfront.

Below are the types of Remarkable Futures Scholarships:

Leadership Scholarship

Scholarship amount: $1,000 or $2,500

Eligibility requirements:

• At the time of application, be a “Team Member” working for a franchised, company-owned, or linked restaurant, including a restaurant under the STC brand.
• Attend a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or vocational-technical institution as an undergraduate or graduate student, or plan to enroll in undergraduate or graduate studies there for the upcoming academic year.
• Depending on the restaurant where the team member works, the recommendation should mention the team member’s accomplishments on the job and come from an operator, interim manager, or executive general manager.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. (or the equivalent). Chick-fil-A considers academic honors and recognition. Candidates must attach a transcript with their name, school name, courses taken, and GPA on it.
• The primary vision of Chick-fil-A is to be the World’s Most Caring Company, as evidenced by our demonstrated care and service. You have the opportunity to discuss how you have shown concern and service for others here. In the past 12 months, what differences have you been able to make in your community, friends, and family?

True Inspiration Scholarship 

Scholarship amount: $25,000

Eligibility requirements:

• At the time of application, be a “Team Member” working for a franchised, company-owned, or linked restaurant, including a restaurant under the STC brand.
• Attend a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or vocational-technical institution as an undergraduate or graduate student, or plan to enroll in undergraduate or graduate studies there for the upcoming academic year.
• Depending on the restaurant where the team member works, the recommendation should mention the team member’s accomplishments on the job and come from an operator, interim manager, or executive general manager.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0. (or the equivalent). Chick-fil-A considers academic honors and recognition. Candidates must attach a transcript with their name, school name, courses taken, and GPA on it.
• The primary vision of Chick-fil-A is to be the World’s Most Caring Company, as evidenced by our demonstrated care and service. You have the opportunity to discuss how you have shown concern and service for others here. In the past 12 months, what differences have you been able to make in your community, friends, and family?
• The applicant must demonstrate financial need.

How to Apply for Remarkable Futures Scholarship

You can apply for the Remarkable Futures Scholarship on ScholarsApply or the Chick-fil-A website.

1. Go to Chick-fil-A or ScholarsApply.
2. Click on Apply.
3. Fill out the application form.
4. Submit a transcript that includes your name, your school’s name, your GPA, and the number of credit hours for each class taken. 
5. Include a recommendation from your Operator.
6. Submit.

How Do I Receive the Scholarship Award?

The Chick-fil-A scholarship program gives restaurant team members special advantages. Qualified applicants will receive the scholarship award upfront, which they can use to pay for school without the need for repayment. The scholarships may also be used in any field of study at any accredited college or university, online program, or vocational-technical school of the team member’s choosing. These institutions include two- and four-year institutions.

When is the Scholarship Deadline?

Applications for the Chick-fil-A scholarship open in July and close in October. Applicants must apply as soon as possible before the deadline.

Note: There will be no extensions after the deadline.
