About MND EDGE Scholarships
MND – Ministry of National Development
The main government ministry in charge of overseeing national land use and development planning is the Ministry of National Development (MND), which was founded in 1959. The organization oversees Singapore’s land use planning, urban redevelopment, and building conservation. MND provides affordable and high-quality public housing solutions and develops a productive construction industry to ensure a safe, high-quality, and sustainable built environment.
The Ministry of National Development offers scholarships to scholars as part of their humanitarian service to citizens in the country.
Is the MND Scholarship Out?
The MND EDGE scholarship is available to all Singaporean scholars who wish to apply. Additionally, you will develop through our MND EDGE talent development program and receive significant exposure through cross-agency secondments.

What are the Requirements for the MND EDGE Scholarship?
To qualify for this scholarship program:
- You must be a Singaporean citizen or a permanent resident who plans to become one before departing for school.
- Applicants must have exceptional GCE A-Level scores, a polytechnic diploma with honors, or a comparable credential, such as a high school diploma or the International Baccalaureate.
- Stellar CCA records
- Possessing a strong sense of leadership
- Being a good team player and self-motivated
How to Apply
To apply for the MND EDGE scholarships, applicants must use the BrightSparks application portal. Visit the portal and search for the scholarships you want to apply for.
The Ministry of National Development scholarship completes in five stages.
- Application on the BrightSparks portal
- Preliminary interview
- Psychometric test and activity-based assessment
- Final interview
- Approval.
MND Internship Program
Students interested in a career in MND and the Civil Service have a rich opportunity to explore their potential through the MND Internship Program.
Depending on your interests, you will be assigned to one of MND’s primary functions throughout the ten-to-twelve-week internship at MNDHQ. Regardless of the route you take, you can count on realizing your leadership potential in a stimulating atmosphere where you can advance both personally and professionally. More significantly, you will learn more about MND’s operations and develop deeper insights into how public policy is made thanks to the varied and difficult assignments.
