URA – Urban Redevelopment Authority
The Urban Redevelopment Authority is a government agency aimed at looking for better and innovative ways to deliver our mission to make Singapore a great city to live, work and play in.
They also offer scholarships to bright students to study within and outside the country.
What Does the Scholarship cover?

Who is Eligible for URA Scholarship?
The URA scholarship is available to exceptional students with good leadership qualities. Scholarship interviews, as well as activity-based and psychometric evaluations, are all part of the selection process.
Urban Redevelopment Authority Scholarship Programs
Urban Redevelopment Authority offers two scholarship programs:
- URA Overseas / Local Scholarship
Stipend for Overseas scholarship
- School fees and other required costs

- Economy round-trip flight
Funding for Local scholarship
- School fees and additional required costs
- A maintenance payment each month
- URA Overseas/ Local Scholarship (Mid-Course)
Funding for overseas scholarship
- Tuition and additional compulsory fees
- Back-payment of tuition fees
- Monthly maintenance allowance
- Return economy airfare
Stipend for local scholarship

URA Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the URA scholarships, applicants must possess the following:
- Good ‘A’ level/IB/Polytechnic/University results
- Good CCA record
- Leadership qualities
How to Apply
To apply for URA Scholarships, applicants need to go to the Brightsparks portal. The application process takes up to four stages to complete:
- Applicants take an online writing test.
- The second stage is the preliminary interview.
- Third, the assessment center.
- Applicants take the final interview.
After the fourth and final stage, the applicants will receive an update on their application.

Scholarship Deadline
The scholarship application starts on January 1 and ends on March 6. Applicants must endeavor to apply before the closing date. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to join us for the assessment sessions between March to the end of April.
