Who is Eligible for the PTDF Scholarship?
Only applicants who are exceptional in every way are chosen for PTDF scholarships since the application process is very competitive. To qualify, you for MSc, applicants must:
- Be computer literates
- Have a first-degree qualification of at least Second Class Upper (2.1), or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant work experience.
- Complete National Youth Service (NYSC)
- Have 5 O/level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- Include a Statement of Purpose (500 words max) to their applications.
For Ph.D.:
- Be computer literates
- Complete National Youth Service (NYSC)
- A study proposal (five pages max) that is pertinent to the oil and gas sector and includes the following information: topic, introduction, objective, methodology, and mode of data collection.

- National Identity Number (NIN)
- Recent Passport Photograph
- Birth certificate
- NYSC discharge certificate
- WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results and the PINs on the application forms to enable PTDF to verify the O’level results.
- First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Master’s Degree Certificate (for PhD Applicants)

To get the Petroleum Technology Development Fund scholarship form, you must go to the PTDF scholarship application portal. The e-form is available on the website. You need to complete your application on the website.

Attention: Make sure to preview your application thoroughly. You cannot edit your application when you submit it. Also, multiple applications will result in disqualification.
